A elderly couple living in mumbai need help from any RTI activist's
living in Banglore, as they have some problem in Banglore and have to attend court case every month in Banglore for no fault of their own,

as per what i see its a new concept of internet marriage fraud which is gaining ground in india.  

boys parents came to our RTI cell in distress, however we do not have knowledge about banglore city and unable to help much.
brief details of happenings as naretted by elderly distressed couple
their son living in USA came to know of a girl in mumbai on the internet
their love grew strong on communication on internet, the boy came down
and married the girl. after a few months things got sour, beleived girl made flase claim FIR for dowry haressment in Banglore, having some clout in Banglore, the Police beleived without having a strong premise  
came and arrested the Boys mother and father in mumbai,
boys parents have to attend criminal court in Banglore every month, they do not know anyone in banglore and have to put up at a lodge/hotel
in FIR girl mentioned about staying with her husband in an appartment in Banglore, the parents and husband claim  that there is no such appartment in cresent road high grounds Banglore,and that their son never stayed in Banglore
need RTI activists in Banglore who can help parents make application to

As the parents are old they can easily file 205 for non appearance. Then let them file 239 for discharge. Why the hell are they travelling?? Then they can also go for quashing u/s 482 after say 2 yrs when the 239 would be dismissed.

There are many ways to fight a false 498a, incl filing muliple cases against the wife. Tell the parents to contact Gokul of Mumbai at 9821414336 or Virag at Bangalore at 9986378801, or myself Niladri after 9pm at 9811052770. We are a free self help group who give free legal advice on how to fight a false 498a

Undoultedly RTI is a very powerful tool to fight a false 498a.

Please inform whether this Centre helps in applying and getting Information through RTI .
To the Best of My Knowledge & Belief this Centre withdrew the Secrtatrial Assistance that they were giving to RTI Activists in 2006 itself .
Even they did not Assist Activists during the NDTV RTI National Campaign and when did they take this "U" turn
