net4526 POE?

Hi folks.

I've got a net4526, which supposedly supports 802.3af power
over ethernet.

I've got Metrix installed, and everything works fine with
a power adapter, but the board apparently is not working via
POE. No LEDs are lit at all.

Anybody else have this problem? Thanks.

Do you have a serial console attached to it?

There does not appear to be universal agreement (at least not between Soekris and some PoE switch vendors) about what is precisely required for 802.3af interoperability.  See: http://sysnet.ucsd.edu/wireless/poe/ for our modification to the 4826 wrt this issue.

My only comment: I'm using Cisco switches, and other POE devices.
The other devices work, and don't require any special configuration
of the switch.

Soekris: if your device doesn't work with the market leader, you need
to  change what you're doing, IMO.
