new place for the main hg repository

Hi,

FreeHG has been experiencing problems for a few days (weeks), and I just
discovered that SourceForge now offers to host a mercurial repository.
Hence I justed copied the main hg repository to SourceForge. See:
  http://sourceforge.net/scm/?type=hg&group_id=5165

As for the specific repositories (such as my em8300-scale-n-crop
repository), I have not yet found a good place to host them.

Cheers,

Nicolas

hg clone does not pull anything from either of the URLs listed there, and the
web interface doesn't show anything either:
http://dxr3.hg.sourceforge.net/hgweb/dxr3

Maybe something went wrong copying the repo?

Wouldn't that work in a hg branch?  Or even better, migrate to git and use
branches with it ;) (sf.net provides git as well these days).  FWIW, It's been
some time since I tried to work with hg branches and I never grokked how they
work.  No such problems with git here, although my use case with branches with
git is a very basic one.

Not exacty in fact. Copying went fine, but I mistakenly pushed a
"private" changeset. And everything went bad when I tried to remove
those on the SF repository. Now, the repository seems to be corrupted,
and all my tries to reset it aborted. I just submitted a ticket on SF's
Trac, and hope someone will fix the repository soon...

You're right about branches, that's what they are meant for. But since
the "scale-and-crop" thing is experimental, I'm not sure I won't finally
drop it. Since there is no clean way to remove unwanted changesets (or
whole branches) I don't want to bloat the main repository with dead
branches. That's why I decided to use a dedicated repository for this
experimental branch.

As for git, well... I currently have very little time for dxr3, I won't
spend it learning git.

Cheers,

Nicolas

The problem has just been solved, thanks to the SF team.
The repository is now fine.

FWIW sf.net introduces support for multiple hg repos per project today.
