Three of us went for a ride a couple of weekends ago, and all three of us
received a lovely photo in the mail of ourselves riding over some white
lines going into Poolsville. Mine was 44 in a 30.
There's a 30mph sign .2 miles before the camera. I don't recall whether I
saw the sign but if you don't see it or don't take notice of it, there are
few other visual cues that you're entering a built-up area. Still seems
pretty rural even where the camera is set up.
I checked it out in Google Streetview - and that's how I know this camera is
relatively new. I found the piece of road where the camera is set up - there
are white lines across the road in my speed camera portrait, but not in the
Google image. Likely that the Google image is not much more or less than a
year old, so camera is a new addition.
