Hi,

I think we should fix #106350# "Mac: Impress Paint Error When
Activating Text Frame" for 3.2. It's a regression. Looks very ugly.

Hi,

According to AW a fix for this could be very time consuming and has a
high regression potential for text editing on
all platforms.

Regards,
Christian

Maybe I missunderstand this bug, but for me thats not a showstopper. Its
not a crash, not a freeze, it looks only ugly.

-1 from me

Yes.
Thus, -1 from me when argumenting as Showstopper.

Is the 'regression' state tested? Nothing comes to my mind what might
have changed in that area, so i am pretty sure it should happen on e.g.
3.1.1 and 3.1, too. It looks more like being highly system-dependent
(read from system graphics device), so may be related to graphics HW
and/or OS version.

"high regression potential for text editing on all platforms" sounds to
risky for me for a 3.2 target: -1

I'm fine with this decision. There is no justification for risky code
changes at this point anymore.

Regarding regression: 3.1.1 does not have the problem. I tested this on
the same machine my 3.2 Beta is running on.
