non dotted templatenames with tg 2.1 and genshi

hi all,
just upgraded from tg 2.0.3 to 2.1 and found that template lookup
doesn't work anymore. i use genshi and have configured
use_dotted_templatenames = False
i've read
        # for the moment only the dotted names notation is supported
with the
        # new generation renderer functions
in configuration.py, but am not sure what "for the moment" means. will
it work again for 2.1 final?
