I have installed the latest version and the previous version and they
do not work. After I restart Firefox there is no sign of grease
monkey. I am on Windows XP using Firefox 3.5.5 and all of my other add-
ons work.

Same here. I just installed win 7 64 bit with 32 bit browser, so it
may be related.

Something weird is going on somewhere. It works fine for me on the same system, but a lot of people seem to be having a lot of problems with Gm in general and also certain GmScripts. And it all seemed to start happening fairly recently.

So either something happened in Gm and/or Firefox recently. That would be my guess.

I have noticed that one of my scripts doesn't seem to be acting the way it used to, although I haven't looked into it. But I THINK the others are still working, unless I haven't noticed that.

Same here.  Broken for me too.

I've got Console^2 so here is the error message generated:

Error: Component returned failure code:
0x80070057 (NS_ERROR_ILLEGAL_VALUE)
[nsIXPCComponents_Utils.evalInSandbox]
Source file:
file:///C:/Users/Kairos/AppData/Roaming/Mozilla/Firefox/Profiles/2rqvbqdm.default/gm_scripts/better_meebo_/better_meebo_.user.js
Line: 4294967295

-------

Yes that is line 4.2 billion.  I'm hoping they get this fixed soon.
I'm tired of seeing the server time instead of the local time on
tribal wars.

I spoke too soon - I disabled my antivirus (Eset NOD32) and was able
to get it installed.

Greasemonkey is working perfectly.  One of your scripts (namely, better
meebo) is broken.  These are two completely separate things, and you'll
need to contact the author/community/forum/whatever of the script, to
get it fixed.

Saying "Greasemonkey is working perfectly" doesn't make it true. Over the years, I've seen things like this before, and this smells like a problem with Gm. And/or Firefox. Maybe not. But I don't think you should be so dismissive, especially considering the apparent extent of the problem. Something "bad" is occurring. And it's not just scripts that "suddenly" aren't working.
