Hi,

can you pls help me with simulating ZMAC in ns2-26?
I tried to install and simulate ZMAC in ns-2.26, but I have problem.

After installation everything looks OK, but when I want to run zmacSIM.tcl i got following error:

I'm new in simulating in ns2, so I'm not sure, if this bug means problem in ns-2 - maybe with "trace-target" (I suspect that simZMAC.tcl is OK).

Can anyone pls help me, or do you have an idea where error can be ?

Basically I am Networks related field so I want to work on adhoc Mobile Network..

can anybody help me that how to install NS2 in Ubuntu and how to access and some basic knowledge to create and perform simulation..

Hello NS-2 community,

I am glad to announce the availability of the EXtensible Animator for
Mobile Simulations (EXAMS). EXAMS is a visualization tool for wireless
NS-2 simulations.

EXAMS is an open source project available online at:

EXAMS’ goal is to help the researcher understand the mobile routing
protocol with an exact visual representation of the NS-2 simulation
outcome, while at the same time enabling him to control the animation
process. It can visualize network layout, animate mobile nodes’ movements,
playback packets exchange at routing and agent level, give user the
ability to freely move forward and backwards in simulation time and depict
the network partitions according to given radio range. As regards data
transmissions EXAMS can portray source and destination address, network
level (routing or agent), direction, flow sequence and other. Moreover
EXAMS keeps detailed statistics about data being sent, received, forwarded
or dropped on a node and network basis

EXAMS has been designed with the protocol developer in mind and provides a
complete environment to study, test and debug wireless network protocols.
Its unique characteristic is its extensible architecture which makes it
possible to visualize network protocol’s internal data structures like
routing tables, values for protocol’s state variables, protocol specific
packet types - in fact anything inside the trace file. Technically this is
achievable through protocol extensions which are developed by the protocol
designer himself and are responsible to visualize protocol’s data
according to its own semantics. Additionally the visual environment of
EXAMS incorporates many user friendly features like:

- Fast jump to a specific line of the trace file.
- Zoom in/out capability.
- Filtering of network traffic according to routing and/or agent layer.
- Screenshots capture to external image file.
- Color and shape codes for data transmission.
- Extensive usage of keyboard shortcuts.

Need Help about Bluetooth Simulation NIST Mobility Package on NS2

Hi all,

I am a master student and I need your help.

I setup the NIST Mobility Package to NS2. And I am trying to do MIH based Handover between Bluetooth and WiMAX. But I could not find any documentation or ant example scripts about this.

And also I don't know the MIH support the Bluetooth in the NIST Mobility Package?

Is there anyone who worked with this before, can help me or send me some documentation about this?

i have a homework about ns2.I've done something but i am not sure if it is true or not.Could you check for me?

Hi.
I need to make a simulation in NS2 where when running a script, every time a node is created, NS asks what antenna the node will be using. So far, I couldn't find where in NS the antenna variable is placed, in order to customize the NS2, so if anyone knows the answer to my problem, please write. I'm using NS 2.31.

How can I locate the position of the nodes on LAN

I've simulated a Local net work by the command:

“set lan [$ns newLan "$n0 $n1 $n2 $n3 $n4" 1.0Mb 40ms LL Queue/Droptail MAC/Csma/Cd Channel]”

But the nodes is located randomly so if I increase the number of the nodes, it'll be complicated. How can I set the initial location of the nodes !? Thanks!

I am a student of Masters with majors in Wireless networks. I am working on my thesis in IEEE 802.16 MAC. I have proposed an MAC Architecture but im stuck with the simulation part for my work. I have no facility for any simulator, niether my supervisor can help me and nor my university. Even in my city no one has the knowledge of any simulator.

Please if anyone can do the simulation for me or help me in this regard. I will be grateful. Infact i am also looking someone whom even i can pay for this work.

1. A Quick Tour Around TCP using ns:

But when I try to access them, they give error. Can somebody point me to the correct accesible links to these tutorials.
