onTap and CFMX 6?

Isaac,

I just downloaded the new set of Core files for onTap 2.0 beta, and noticed it uses Application.cfc. Take a quick peak, it seems that onTap 2.0 will only work on CFM7? Is this right? Is there not a version that works on CFMX6?

I'm finally getting back into onTap and noticed this, which could be a big problem.

Cedric

Umm... nope, I've been testing it on CFMX 6.1 all week. :)

The Application.cfc is ignored on 6.1 ... I did make some changes to
the core code in order to get both the Application.cfm for 6.1 and the
Application.cfc for CF7 to use most of the same code. Each has a
little bit of its own code obviously to mitigate the differences
between the two CF versions and the differences specifically between a
..cfm and a .cfc but it should work on both platforms.

If it's not working in your environment, then there's a bug I need to
address... Let me know the details and I'll get right on it.

Thanks for the note btw. I was wondering where you'd got off to. :)

p.s. I'm hoping to publish a new release of the Members onTap plugin
this weekend with an event log with some built-in "undo"
functionality. I'm not sure if you had any plans to use the MoT
plugin, since you've got an existing app with its own user management
/ authentication already, just thought I'd give you a heads up. :)

I decided not to migrate the existing app to onTap. Just too much work, plus
I didn't feel comfortable with it yet. I am slowly getting the hang of it,
so during our rewrite of the next version we will be using onTap. I think
it'll make things much quicker.

I wasn't planning on using the MoT, but good to know of the features anyway.
