Why does pcsc_scan identifiy the reader and pkcs11-tool doesn't?

Can your OpenSC speak to pcsc-lite?
What operating system/distro are you using?

What is the output of "opensc-tool -R" and "opensc-tool -i"?
Does the file inside "pcsc(...)" exist?

Ubuntu karmic. (Before the update (jaunty), the reader was recognized.

opensc 0.11.8 [gcc  4.4.0]
Enabled features: zlib iconv openssl openct
pcsc(/usr/lib/libpcsclite.so) nsplugin
[opensc-tool] reader-pcsc.c:1015:pcsc_detect_readers: returning with:
No readers found

The file /usr/lib/libpcsclite.so doesn't exists.
The package libpcsclite1 is installed.
