phonon doesn't do much when playing non-playable files

    if i try to play() an image, say a png, phonon goes from state Stopped to
Buffering and then does nothing and there are no other state  transition.
'image/png' and 'image/x-png' are listed as supported by the backend as per
Phonon.BackendCapabilities.availableMimeTypes(). is this wrong, is it an
error? is there any way to detect this situation?
