plug hangs at 'done, booting the kernel'

Hi,

I am a bit stuck in my slug->plug upgrade. Am installing squeeze to usb-drive as described by Martin (http://www.cyrius.com/debian/kirkwood/sheevaplug/install.html) and am using /boot/uInitrd and /boot/uImage references.

Plug boots but hangs at:

Verifying Checksum ... OK
Starting kernel ...
Uncompressing Linux.................................................................................................................... done, booting the kernel


Any thoughts what I may be missing?

It looks to me like you are passing the wrong tty device for the
console to the kernel.
The kernel may be working, with the console messages being lost.

Did you by any chance not upgrade u-boot?

For the record, the following is needed:

setenv mainlineLinux yes
setenv arcNumber 2097
saveenv
reset

I thought this was no longer required with the new u-boot but it is.
I'll update the docs.
