hi,
i recently got an used minolta dimage a2 on ebay-usa.
btw, i owned one dimage a1 years ago, but it got stolen. this "semi-like" slr cam series a1 and a2 was one of the best like slr-cameras on the consumer market.
only difference between a1 and a2 are the mega-pixel (5 and 8 mpx) and the a200 is ok, but not as good.

gphoto works with this camera quite well, but no capture image (and download) support is given.
may i should post the complete error output later. but there is on other way of remote capture for this cam.
this cam has a 3 pin special remote plug, for using a electric-cord with a release button. with some circuit, it would be possible to remote capture and download with gphoto.
gphoto is not able to delete a picture on this camera, only. also changing the capture traget option, from cf card to internal memory is not possible.

here are some output:

[32395.164056] usb 5-3: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 3

I think the only way is really over this remote plug, not over USB.

Ciao, Marcus
