possibility of capture-image for minotla dimage a2hi,
i recently got an used minolta dimage a2 on ebay-usa. btw, i owned one dimage a1 years ago, but it got stolen. this "semi-like" slr cam series a1 and a2 was one of the best like slr-cameras on the consumer market. only difference between a1 and a2 are the mega-pixel (5 and 8 mpx) and the a200 is ok, but not as good. gphoto works with this camera quite well, but no capture image (and download) support is given. may i should post the complete error output later. but there is on other way of remote capture for this cam. this cam has a 3 pin special remote plug, for using a electric-cord with a release button. with some circuit, it would be possible to remote capture and download with gphoto. gphoto is not able to delete a picture on this camera, only. also changing the capture traget option, from cf card to internal memory is not possible. here are some output: [32395.164056] usb 5-3: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 3 [32395.297660] usb 5-3: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice [32395.298582] usb 5-3: New USB device found, idVendor=132b, idProduct=0001 [32395.298590] usb 5-3: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=0 [32395.298596] usb 5-3: Product: DIMAGE CAMERA [32395.298601] usb 5-3: Manufacturer: KONICA MINOLTA ~/Desktop/gphoto2-2.4.7$ ./gphoto2/gphoto2 --summary Camera summary: Model: DiMAGE A2 device version: 1.00 serial number: (null) Vendor extension ID: 0x00000000 Vendor extension description: (null) Capture Formats: Display Formats: DPOF, MS Wave, JPEG, TIFF EP, JFIF, Unknown(b101), Unknown(b102) Device Capabilities: File Download, No File Deletion, File Upload No Image Capture, No Open Capture, No vendor specific capture Storage Devices Summary: store_00010001: StorageDescription: None VolumeLabel: None Storage Type: Removable RAM (memory card) Filesystemtype: Digital Camera Layout (DCIM) Access Capability: Read-Write Maximum Capability: 1028161536 (980 MB) Free Space (Bytes): 4294934528 (4095 MB) Free Space (Images): -1 store_ffff0001: StorageDescription: None VolumeLabel: None Storage Type: Builtin RAM Filesystemtype: Generic Flat Access Capability: Read-Only Maximum Capability: 18446744073709551615 (4294967295 MB) Free Space (Bytes): 18446744073709551615 (4294967295 MB) Free Space (Images): -1 Device Property Summary: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Come build with us!
