printer prob

Ever since I upgraded to 2009.0 I have had the problem:

When I start the computer, before I can print I have to su to root, launch
mcc, go to hardware, setup printer, printer and click on the box Enable.

Is there no way to automagically enable the printer whenever I start the box ?

In mcc->System->Manage system services... check that 'cups' is checked
to start on boot.
