Re: problem in deploying gbrowseHello Sujata,
While it isn't impossible to do a GBrowse install without network access, it certainly might be time consuming. You'll need to get all of the prerequisites on the non-networked machine. While the direct prerequisites are listed in the GBrowse installation document: http://gmod.org/wiki/GBrowse_Install_HOWTO The thing that is tricky is that some of these prerequisites have prerequisites of their own, so it might be difficult to identify everything you need before getting started. And of course, it depends on your operating system as to what might already be present and how to best install those prereqs. Something you might want to consider is getting the non-networked machine a temporary network connection since it will make your life much easier. Re: problem in deploying gbrowseThe other possible option would be to host your gff3 files on
WebGBrowse. You can edit and view your results from any where as long as you have internet access and IE 6.0 or Firefox. http://webgbrowse.cgb.indiana.edu Ram Scott Cain wrote: > Hello Sujata, > > While it isn't impossible to do a GBrowse install without network > access, it certainly might be time consuming.
