problem with Msys on 64-bitHi all,
Has anyone had problems running msys binaries from bash? I get this error: http://img.skitch.com/20091104-p1mi9e14duxdirkxeg4aipum78.jpg not sure what the problem is. One thing I wasn't sure about is whether I need a 64-bit msys, though I didn't see any sort of distinction for being able to download 32-bit vs. 64-bit for msys whereas mingw did have 32 and 64 bit downloads. Hi, your issue is with high propability reasoned by BSOD applications on your system. Some virus-scanner, Logitech tools, etc are incompatible to msys (cygwin) shell and are producing such kind of failures. Please check the list cygwin provides to see, if you have installed one of those incompatible programs. Kai -- | (\_/) This is Bunny. Re: problem with Msys on 64-bit
Kai,
Thank you for your reply, but this is a very stock box. It is an amazon win64 AMI I'm using, so maybe there's something different about how amazon has win64 set up that I'm encountering. I did try the steps of this page: http://wiki.mozilla-x86-64.com/MSYS_and_Cygwin_on_x64_%28AMD64%29 But those suggestions didn't work either. --Patrick Kai Tietz wrote: 2009/11/4 Patrick Galbraith patg@...:Hi all, Has anyone had problems running msys binaries from bash?
