pwgl-users: MusicXML for PWGLHi,
first of all a small note for people, who are reading about this for the first time. We have currently a small side project going on, which is supposed to serve two purposes: - Adding MusicXML support to PWGL - It will be very useful to have MusicXML support in PWGL, especially import (right now completely missing). - Trying out the possibility for user-sponsored features For more background information on this, please see our initial mail from December 12: http://www.nabble.com/pwgl-users:-%3CMusicXML-for-PWGL%3E-td20975203.html CURRENT STATUS We have 10 potential sponsors now with a total sum of 400 EUR, individual offers going up to 100 EUR - wow, this is much more, than expected ! -- Thanks a lot to all of you ! Unfortunately, this poses sort of a problem - the total sum simply does not seem to be enough to produce what we promised. Developing only a rudimentary light version is not satisfying either -- especially for those few people, who are really interested in the feature and are willing to donate an awkwardly large amount of money, compared to the restricted functionality we can offer. To make it short, we seem to miss the critical mass needed to make this happen. Our small home server had some problems, but the site is now up and running (humming...) again at: http://pwgl.homeip.net:8080 The site will be open until February 5, 2009 - if there are any more people interested in MusicXML out there, its your chance now ! ;-) Best regards, Kilian |

Re: pwgl-users: MusicXML for PWGLHi,
a last note about the current MusicXML project - there is almost no traffic on the server, so it is easy to predict that it is not going to work out. The project is canceled (we are happy though to have tried it out) and the server is shutdown now. Thanks again to all the people, who were interested !!
