python-setuptools

Hi all
I have a fine running Jaunty amd64 where I would like to install python-setuptools
on order to have "easy_install" (final goal: install PasterScript)

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
python-setuptools: Depends: python (< 2.6) but 2.6.2-0ubuntu1 is to be installed
Depends: python-pkg-resources (= 0.6c9-0ubuntu1) but 0.6c9-0ubuntu4 is to be installed
E: Broken packages

Ok, but

root@rktmb:~/Documents# dpkg -l | grep "python2.5"
ii  python2.5                                 2.5.3-0ubuntu1
ii  python2.5-minimal                         2.5.3-0ubuntu1

What to do?
If I remove python 2.6, too much things I need are to be removed.
So no way to do like that.
