python-setuptoolsHi all
I have a fine running Jaunty amd64 where I would like to install python-setuptools on order to have "easy_install" (final goal: install PasterScript) The following packages have unmet dependencies: python-setuptools: Depends: python (< 2.6) but 2.6.2-0ubuntu1 is to be installed Depends: python-pkg-resources (= 0.6c9-0ubuntu1) but 0.6c9-0ubuntu4 is to be installed E: Broken packages Ok, but root@rktmb:~/Documents# dpkg -l | grep "python2.5" ii python2.5 2.5.3-0ubuntu1 ii python2.5-minimal 2.5.3-0ubuntu1 What to do? If I remove python 2.6, too much things I need are to be removed. So no way to do like that. -- Architecte Informatique Gulfsat/Blueline: Administration Système, Recherche et Développement Mob: +261 33 11 207 36 Penser à l'environnement avant d'imprimer ce message -- ubuntu-users mailing list ubuntu-users@... That's really bad. You should inform the responsible admin and maybe use another mirror to pull from. <https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+archivemirrors> has a list of official mirrors, maybe you can use one of them. That's really bad. Oh yes it is... > <https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+archivemirrors> Which seems to be broken: It lists OVH mirrors as up to date but: mirror.ovh.net resolves to 1 adresses which reverse to mir1.ovh.net and mir2.ovh.net. After browsing this https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+mirror/ovh-archive http://mirror.ovh.net/ubuntu/dists/jaunty/main/binary-amd64/ Look at the dates. Well, https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+archivemirrors also needs some cleanning. -- Architecte Informatique Gulfsat/Blueline: Administration Système, Recherche et Développement Mob: +261 33 11 207 36 Penser à l'environnement avant d'imprimer ce message -- ubuntu-users mailing list ubuntu-users@... It seems some parts of the mirror are up to date (http://mirror.ovh.net/ubuntu/pool/main/p/python-setuptools/ has the current package) while some are not. I guess launchpad notices that ovh.net is syncing, but doesn't see that the sync doesn't complete for some reasons.
