reference datatype (2006) displays unknown type in squirrel

I'm using squirrel sql 3.0.2 to access oracle 10g. When I access a table that has columns using the reference datatype ( id 2006) squirrel displays the string "Unknown type (2,006)". I've tried loading different versions of the thin client driver, ojdbc6.jar and ojdbc14.jar, but the display remains the same.

Is there some configuration step I'm missing?

I just looked at the code and it appears that we don't currently have
"standard" support for that type.  I have to admit, it seems a bit
obscure.  But you can add a feature request if it's a nuisance:

Perhaps you can tell us how it should be rendered in the table editor as well.
