reformatting lines impossible when using QuickQuote

Hello,

when using QuickQuote, it seems to be impossible to reformat lines via
Thunderbirds Edit menu in the compose window, the option is grayed out,
independent from what quote settings I choose in the QuickQuote options
window.

Is this a bug?

Thanks
Florian

I see what you mean now with the Rewrap command.  I've found a
workaround though: in the compose window, click in the address field,
then click back into the message body.  The Rewrap command is then
usable again.

I think the reason may be that Thunderbird by default starts a new
message with the focus in the address field, meaning that all editing
commands are disabled until the cursor is moved to the formattable body
region.  However, in a Quote in Reply message with QuickQuote, the
cursor is redirected into the message body immediately when the window
is opened.  Therefore, moving the cursor out and then back in again
restores the formatting.

I'll have to ask Matteo about this one; it probably could count as a bug.

thanks for the workaround, this helps! A bug count would be an idea. :-)

Thanks for the fast help!
