Hi all,
I've added to SVN [0] a set of (primitive) bash shell scripts that
helped me reduce manual effort on the release process.
Many of the recurring tasks described in [1] are easier with the
scripts. Of course they can be improved. I still leave the full
description on the Wiki, so that the next release manager has an
understanding for what is going on.
I made my contribution to the release manager role. I'll bring to
completition the 2009.4.0 release. After that I would prefer to see
somebody who has never done it before taking over the role. I'll be
happy to mentor him/her on the 2009.6.0 release. Any volunteers?
After 2009.4.0 I would like to focus my activity on trunk - fixing bugs
and helping integration of development branches.
