Following the information in the W3C FAQ, I would like to request
official permission on behalf of Network Theory Ltd to publish a
printed version of some W3C XML documents in book form.
The documents we would like to publish are:
Extensible Markup Language (XML) 1.0 (Fifth Edition)
Namespaces in XML 1.0 (Second Edition)
XML Information Set (Second Edition)
I confirm that (i) we agree to the redistribution terms of the W3C
document copyright notice and (ii) that the W3C may rescind our right
to publish or distribute the derivative work if the W3C finds that it
leads to confusion regarding the original document's status or
integrity.
The documents will be printed without comments or annotations. The
printed version will be produced from the normative XHTML via an
automated conversion to TeX. I will use two independent proofreaders
to verify the final output. A portion of the profits will be used to
support XML-related free software projects.
I hope this meets your criteria for approval.
