rosegarden midi mixer has no effectHi all.
rosegarden 1.7.3 sending midi data to either fluidsynth 1.0.9 or timidity++ 2.13.2 (tried both) using the fluidR 122501 soundfont when i play a midi track, and i change the volume levels in the midi mixer (eg turn the guitars down so i can hear drums better) this sometimes works temporarily (until a new section starts), and sometimes doesn't work at all. So at many points in time I see on the midi mixer that the volume levels of certain instruments are way down, yet i hear them loudly as usual. When all sliders are down to 0, the instruments will be muted for a while, but after a while, they become as loud as before again. what could be wrong? thanks Dieter _______________________________________________ Linux-audio-user mailing list Linux-audio-user@... http://lists.linuxaudio.org/mailman/listinfo/linux-audio-user |

This sounds as if that track contains volume change events that override the mixer's volume settings. The controller that is supposed to be used for temporary volume changes in a track is Expression, not Volume; try changing all CC#7 events to CC#11. So, i edit a midi track with the "event list editor", i filter all events so i only see controller events. But then I get a lot of events with type (data1) set to 7. how i can mass update them to 11? if i select them all, open the event editor (or the advanced event editor) and set it to 11, only the first event in the selection gets updated. not really looking forward to update them all by hand.
