settings problem with kateHi,
I am using kubuntu 9.10 with kate. The first issue is that kubuntu 9.10 create the folder "sessions" with root privilages (/home/fernando/.kde/share/apps/kate/sessions), and kate can not access this folder, but can be easy be fixed. My second problem is the file kateschemarc. The file is not write to reflect the modification in the color settings, but also, if I modify it manually, kate do not read it (~/.kde/share/config/kateschemarc), So I am using a dark theme in my desktop and with the default color settings of kile I can't see a thing. To write and read a file and put the data in some variables is basically a joke, so.. I wonder, can I get the source to compile again kate and finally get it to work? Or is there any other release besides kate 3.2.2 that fix the problem? Thanks in advance for you help. _______________________________________________ KWrite-Devel mailing list KWrite-Devel@... https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kwrite-devel |

Than you started kate as root/sudo before you started it as your normal user. Nothing kate can fix. > My second problem is the file kateschemarc. Probably related to the above, are the permissions correct? Since this works wonderfully for me (and did so for a long time), I bet you have some permissions screwup on your machine. > To write and read a file and put the data in some variables > is basically a joke, so.. I don't understand this, could you please explain what you mean? -- Milian Wolff mail@... http://milianw.de _______________________________________________ KWrite-Devel mailing list KWrite-Devel@... https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kwrite-devel |
