shutdown hook in Red5 to warn your application that the app is going down (addition for start/stop script)

For what it's worth ;

 

if you wan to catch an even in your own custom Red5 webapplication that the server is shutting down you can add a listener in your application which will fire before the server shuts down. That way you can -very fast- disconnect users with an additional error warning instead of letting Red5 kill the connection without any explaination.
