slow mail downloadI'm sorry if this has been asked before, but I couldn't find mention of
it in the archives. When checking any of my POP accounts, Evolution takes a very long time to download mail, even if it's only two of three messages. Other clients (Thunderbird, for example) don't seem to have this problem. What can I do to resolve that? I'm running on Ubuntu, Hoary Hedgehog 5.04. Thanks, Ben _______________________________________________ evolution maillist - evolution@... http://lists.ximian.com/mailman/listinfo/evolution |

And the server doesn't support UIDL. > messages. Other clients (Thunderbird, for example) don't seem to have > this problem. What can I do to resolve that? Evolution version might actually be useful, but probably not in this case (and we can get it from the headers anyway). _______________________________________________ evolution maillist - evolution@... http://lists.ximian.com/mailman/listinfo/evolution |

Re: slow mail downloadspam filtering perhaps? I don't use spam filtering because of the horrid
slowness, but some people do :) Jeff On Mon, 2005-08-22 at 12:57 +0800, Not Zed wrote: > Oh right, maybe it has something to do with indexing then. > > pop download is very fast for me. > > On Sun, 2005-08-21 at 23:14 -0500, Ben Miller wrote: > > On Mon, 2005-08-22 at 11:55 +0800, Not Zed wrote: > > > On Sun, 2005-08-21 at 19:36 -0500, Ben Miller wrote: > > > > I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but I couldn't find mention of > > > > it in the archives.
