I searched online and got some parameters, such as density, young's modulus, and poisson's ratio. I know attenuation is a major property for soil material. However I was not sure whether I should use Rayleigh damping or viscoelastic property. Anyone has experiences of simulating soil material in ABAQUS? You have to choose first which constitutive model you want to use. Abaqus has Mohr-Coulumb and Drucker Brager. Usually I prefere to use Mohr-Coulumb. That's why I am looking for some parameters of soil which can correctly calculate the wave attenuation. I've received a few responses, suggesting to use Mohr-Coulumb, Drucker Brager, or clay plasticity model. I would try all of them to see which one works best for my case. Thanks a lot! I don't have instruments for soil test right now, thus I hope I could obtain some reference parameters online. Thanks a lot!
