previous owner some how used a heavier bolt (thread) to re attach one of the blades. He tried to crank it tight consequently cross threading the spindle. I have purchased two new (proper threaded) bolts and now i need to decide what to do next? I would like to avoid having to buy a new spindle, so my options are to try to force one of the new bolts back in and hope that somehow it will rethread itself. If I try to tap it or have it rethreaded then I am looking at having a machine shop do the work. I am not thrilled in having two different size bolts for my blades. My question is which route is the best?

I think you're going to have to tap & rethread it...don't think forcing the bolt in there will work.
Last resort would be to drill it out & put a helicoil in there, but not sure how that good that would work
