Pete,

>All I want is to download the picts

If your Dare is anything like my enV3, you may be able to copy the pics directly off of the microSD card, using a USB card reader plugged into your computer (or using your computer's card slot, if it has one).

If you don't have a card, get one. If you have one but your photos aren't on the card, you should be able to go into Photos, Options, Manage My Pics, then select the photos you want and in Options find Move and select Move to card. When that finishes pop the card out and into your computer.

If you have a card, but the photos weren't stored on it, there's an option for that under Settings, Memory, Save Options.

Hope the Dare is similar enough that this works for you, it's how I normally retrieve my photos from my enV3 (with the card in the computer, Lightroom imports them directly).

Shal,

You can also map the SD card in the phone to your computer, with your USB card.

<Menu> <settings and tools> <2.  Tools> <9. USB Mass Storage>.

Your SD card is now available to your computer.
