could you please fix the xml validity or confirm that the git repo is the
canonical source and its fine if I fix it there.

I have fixed 2 errors, but I still wonder about the "placeholder-1"
tags. Can I make them comments. If you don't reply I'll just do it to
get the "make check" back to work.

Also how can I get files in a git checkout which are then untracked?
Whats going on here?
