stamps from childsplayHello!
Here is a first try to import the images and sounds from LetterFlashCard(lfc) plugin of Childsplay. The images are scaled to 200x200 and the sounds renamed to meet the tuxpaint convention. There are some images in the "tocut" directory that need more work, and maybe some of them (peacock?) will not fit in Tuxpaint. Also, Tuxpaint have yet stamps for some of the animals in lfc, so maybe the only interesting things for some images are sounds. Please, check and let me know. http://fornol.no-ip.org/linux/tuxpaint/stamps/stamps_imported_from_childsplay-lfc.tar.bz2 It is about 10MB download. If you want to see an overview, you can browse here: http://fornol.no-ip.org/linux/tuxpaint/stamps/stamps_imported_from_childsplay-lfc/cards/index_en.html http://fornol.no-ip.org/linux/tuxpaint/stamps/stamps_imported_from_childsplay-lfc/cards/tocut/index_en.html There are as well some few stamps made by me in http://fornol.no-ip.org/linux/tuxpaint/stamps/index_en.html Please, let me know if any of them can reach Tuxpaint. I haven't had the chance to look at it yet, but wanted to make sure you knew I saw this and will act upon it. ;) Thanks again!!! -bill! ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more? I especially like the fact that I could browse around without first downloading the 10MB archive. I've been thinking of presenting the Tux Paint Stamps on the website in a similar way, so parents/teachers can get an overview of what they'll be installing. > There are as well some few stamps made by me in > http://fornol.no-ip.org/linux/tuxpaint/stamps/index_en.html > Please, let me know if any of them can reach Tuxpaint. Ceratinly! Let me know when you are ready (if you wanted to add TXT, DAT, OGG, etc files.) In the meantime, I'm about to grab the archive you posted and incorporate them into the Stamps in CVS. Let me know when you are ready (if you wanted > to add TXT, DAT, OGG, etc files.) I have to rework them, but for now, there is some part of the advanced stamps howto I don't fully understand. Hope I get the time... (1) From the advanced stamps howto: Set your drawing tool the paintbrush. For the brush, choose a small fuzzy circle. The 5x5 size is good for most uses. With a steady hand, trace around the image. Use black around the outside, and white around the inside. Avoid making more than one pass without switching colors (and thus sides). As I understand now, if I begin with a image that has a Background, two undeFined pixels and the Object, I should end up with a mask that has a gradient from black to white at the edge of the object much more wider than the original undefined pixels original BBBBBBBFFOOOOOOOO resulting mask BBBBBbbbwwwWWWWWW Is this the expected result or am I misunderstanding something? Added some feet, hands, queues, also added some transparencies and rework some other. Also are reworked the non visible part of images acording to advanced stamps howto. About 3.2Mb just the png files. No directory sorting for now, sorry http://fornol.no-ip.org/linux/tuxpaint/stamps/png_reworked_from_childsplay_lfc.tar.gz or browse merged with sounds http://fornol.no-ip.org/linux/tuxpaint/stamps/stamps_imported_from_childsplay-lfc/cards/index_en.html Also I've modified a scm script in order to help me to draw expanding the edges of a object. Please, can someone check the png files and tell me if this is the expected result? Check the last ones in alphabetical order(the first ones have more handwork as I was developping the script) One last thing, it seems otter.png is not a otter :/ http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?thread_id=31126596&forum_id=32239 Searching the web it seems to be a sea lion http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sea_lion Yours Pere -- Pere Pujal i Carabantes <pere@...> ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys. va escriure: > About 3.2Mb just the png files. No directory sorting for now, sorry Now they are sorted acording as they are on cvs. Sounds are small too. They fit all png and ogg in a 4.7MB tar.bz2 archive http://fornol.no-ip.org/linux/tuxpaint/stamps/stamps_from_lfc-png_ogg.tar.bz2 or browse http://fornol.no-ip.org/linux/tuxpaint/stamps/stamps_from_lfc-png_ogg/index_en.html > it seems otter.png is not a otter :/ > Searching the web it seems to be a sea lion > http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sea_lion Please remove otter.png, otter.ogg and otter_desc_fr.ogg from cvs. They meet with sea lion and are renamed to sea_lion* in the tar.bz2 archive. And please keep otter_desc.ogg,otter_desc_ca.ogg and otter_desc_nl.ogg from the archive as they meet with otter. A real otter.png will come soon. What do you think about this otter? http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bild:Fischotter_Lutra_lutra1.jpg It's under the GNU/FDL license V1.2 or later with no Invariant Sections, no Front-Cover Texts, and no Back-Cover Texts Fotograf: Factumquintus Is it compatible with the GNU/GPL license? There are as well some files that had not reached the cvs as they were not transparent. They are reworked at http://fornol.no-ip.org/linux/tuxpaint/stamps/tocut.tar.bz2 Just 364KB or browse at http://fornol.no-ip.org/linux/tuxpaint/stamps/tocut/index_en.html Yours Pere -- Pere Pujal Carabantes <ppujal@...> ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more?
