stk600 and xmega

Hi,
I am new to the list and currently trying to flash an atXmega192a3 with stk600
linux and avrdude.

Until now, I did not succeed to flash it. All I know is that flashing works
with windows/avrstudio.

So, I wanted to know if the stk600 programming with PDI is really supported in
version 5.8 ? May be if I am doing something wrong somewhere.
