Hello,

I am a new subscriber in this list, now I perform Samba performance test by Iometer (version 2006.07.27), but I got strange results.
When the Of Outstanding I/Os is 1, Transfer Request Size is 8 K and 32 K, the results can not be accepted, why the results are these?
When Of Outstanding I/Os is 4, the results are better, But I noted a Hint on page 52 of Iometer Users’ Guide:  To access a disk drive sequentially, select it with a single worker using a “# of Outstanding I/Os” value of 1.
I could not understand them, could someone help me? Thanks.

Of Outstanding I/Os is 1:
Transfer Request Size         Write MBs
1 K                                    1.7
2 K                                    3.2
4 K                                    7.6
8 K                                    0.3
16 K                                  14.5
32 K                                  8.2
64 K                                  31.1
128 K                                38.4
256 K                                40.7
512 K                                42.7
1 M                                   45.1

Of Outstanding I/Os is 4:
Transfer Request Size          Write MBs
1 K                                    4.2
2 K                                    5.0
4 K                                    20.4
8 K                                    32.2
16 K                                  42.4

128 K                                47.3
256 K                                49.3
512 K                                50.2

The Computer is installed Windows XP SP3, P4 3.06GHz, 1G Ram,
