svn revision for 2.4rc version

I'm trying to build pebble from sources (topic: better trackable URLs for
RSS feeds) and checked out the sources from
https://pebble.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/pebble. In the tags subdirectory
I can't find an entry for 2.4rc - what is its revision?

The pebble source repository has been relocated to
https://open.jira.com/svn/PEBBLE, I don't think there is a 2.4rc tag
yet though.

Olaf, maybe it's time to update the Pebble home page?  If you'd like
me to update it, my SF username is jamesroper.  I think it would also
be a good idea if we deleted everything in the trunk directory (it
will still be retrievable from the revision history), and replaced it
with a README pointing users to the new repository, to avoid
confusion.

Cheers,

James

I've checked out the trunk, but could not get it to compile, because
StaticPageType is missing, so FileStaticPageDAO shows an error.

BTW, I want to add a random number (e.g. the session id) to the rss.xml's as
a parameter, e.g. foo/rss.xml?8385943574357843975 to be able to better track
user counts (because the same user will have a unique URL), but I'm not
familiar with the variables used, e.g., in the page.tag file. What code
should I put between href="${blog.url}rss.xml${ and }" to get the session ID?

I'm having the same error with 'StaticPageType' and some other classes missing.  Anyone know what that's about?

I'd +1 on the 2.4 release or at least an rc2.

Oops - I seem to have missed to tag that release, sorry. However, it's
been released March 9th, so this might give you a hint.

James, I've added you to the sourceforge team as well. Feel free to
place hints in svn for the migration.

Cheers,
Olaf

I've always had the nagging feeling that I was missing one reported
error. Not having had a bugtracker didn't help when I accidentally
marked all mails read (I still remember that there have been two mails
marked unread containing important topics). That said, I've found one
(update of static pages from 2.3.x to 2.4) and filed it
http://open.jira.com/browse/PEBBLE-2. Due to some constraints on my time
I probably can get back to that in the beginning of september, but I'll
promise to have it back on the radar quickly and release then.

That said - please read this as a call for action: is there anything you
can think of to block 2.4 release? Please report in our shiny new
bugtracker on http://open.jira.com/ or here on the list.

Cheers,
Olaf

You might have to do a bit more. Have a look at
src/net/sourceforge/pebble/web/controller/HttpController.java and look
for the line
      model.put(Constants.BLOG_KEY, blog);
and other model.put(....) occurrences.

StaticPageType is a generated type, so if you checked out into your IDE
of choice that doesn't happen to be eclipse (which will pick up the
necessary ant step as part of the build itself), please execute
      ant compileschema
and all should be working (maybe apart from sending mail in a unit test
- see the other mails)

Cheers,
Olaf
