Can anyone advise regarding these messages?

dpkg-reconfigure
sysv-rc

info: Checking if it is safe to convert to dependency based
boot.

error: Unable to migrate to dependency based boot
sequencing.

error: Problems detected: package sparc-utils left obsolete init.d
script behind, insserv: warning: script 'K20apcupsd' missing LSB tags
and overrides,  insserv: warning: script 'K89iptables' missing LSB tags
and overrides,  insserv: warning: script 'S75audioctl' missing LSB tags
and overrides,  insserv: warning: script 'S25libdevmapper1.02' missing
LSB tags and overrides,  insserv: warning: script 'audioctl' missing LSB
tags and overrides,  insserv: warning: script 'iptables' missing LSB
tags and overrides,  insserv: warning: script 'apcupsd' missing LSB tags
and overrides,  insserv: warning: script 'ups-monitor' missing LSB tags
and overrides,  insserv: warning: script 'libdevmapper1.02' missing LSB
tags and overrides,

I have purged a bunch of packages that were previously removed but not
purged.  That leaves just the above.

I have found information about these "obsolete init.d script" messages
that indicate the problem was that the package did not properly remove a
script that was no longer included in the package.

How do I fix this?  I don't even know what it is complaining about....

And, then, how do I fix up the "missing LSB tags and overrides" messages?

Thank you.

Cheers,
Dave
