Dear NetBeans Ruby User Community,
The netbeans.org team has been working to implement forums on
netbeans.org, but in a way that doesn't disrupt the already successful
NetBeans mailing lists. We've implemented a phpBB forum that interfaces
with the mailing lists, so that all posts to the forum go to the mailing
list and vice versa.
Now we would like to test it out on the users@ruby mailing list to make
sure everything works OK before rolling it out to other mailing lists.
You shouldn't see any difference, except maybe a little bit higher
traffic as more people use the forum interface. The test will run for 2
weeks and if successful, we'll start migrating other mailing lists to
the forum as well.
Any thoughts or objections?
