Dear Fellow Resna Members:

Greetings from Don Johnston and Bookshare.  The  two organizations that
I am proud to work with on behalf of children, students and adults with
disabilities.

I wanted to respond to Kevin's request by sharing with you that the
Read:OutLoud accessible text reader is now available through the
Bookshare website for both Mac and Windows users with print
disabilities.  Read:OutLoud does a terrific job of reading Internet
text.  This "just released" press announcement can be viewed here:

Thanks for allowing me to share this relevant information with you.

Best to all!

Valerie

What if every child with a print disability in U.S. schools started
their first day having the books they need to succeed in accessible
formats? How would this opportunity level the learning field?

Bookshare, (www.bookshare.org <http://www.bookshare.org/> ), is the
world's largest online accessible library for individuals with print
disabilities, such as blindness, low vision, a physical or reading
disability that makes it difficult or impossible for them to read
standard print.  Bookshare is free to qualified U.S. schools and
students through a $32 million award from the U.S. Department of
Education, Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP).  The library has
tens of thousands of books including best sellers, textbooks,
teacher-recommended reading and periodicals along with two software
applications that read digital books.   Parents and Educators can SIGN

Hi Holly,
While I do not see Bulgarian as one of the languages, you might want to
check with the Acapela Group.  They seem to be on the cutting edge of
text to speech products:
