M2i Trainings invites participation for a three day training course on 'Financial Analysis for MFIs'. This course intends to acquaint participants with indicators and benchmarks used for the purpose of analyzing performance of MFIs. M2i has trained over 1,000 individuals from leading MFIs as well as banks and financial institutions in various countries. Participants have found our trainings very useful and have reported enhancement in technical skills as well as increase in confidence levels. Date: 3-5 December 2009 Location: New Delhi Cost: Rs15,000 (US$300) (Scholarships available) Who will benefit * Senior and middle level managers of MFIs * Bankers and other investors interested in the microfinance sector * Analysts and consultants Methodology This training will be organized in the form of a workshop spread over three days. Role-plays, case-studies, exercises and presentations will be used extensively for effective assimilation of the concepts by the participants. The training methodology is highly participatory. The participants will be encouraged to learn from each other. Training materials and delivery of lectures will be in English. Training team Atul: An MBA from IRMA, Atul has extensive experience in microfinance, banking and market research. Atul is an expert in Financial Management and Multivariate Statistical Modeling. Atul is one of the pioneers of MFI-valuations in India. In the past, he has undertaken equity valuations of several MFIs in India and Cambodia. Atul is an expert trainer and has undertaken trainings for senior staff at Banks and MFIs. Atul has also been a visiting faculty at the TA Pai Management Institute (TAPMI), Manipal Deepak Alok: An MBA from the Institute of Rural Management, Anand (IRMA), Deepak also holds a Diploma in Business Finance (DBF) from the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India (ICFAI). Deepak is a co-founder and partner at M2i and has extensive experience of working with over 200 MFIs in eight countries of Asia. Deepak is an expert trainer and has trained over 1,000 individuals in the microfinance sector. Rahul Bist: Rahul is a graduate in Computer Application and an MBA from Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM). Rahul is a co-founder and partner at M2i. He has extensive experience in micro-finance and has worked with over 200 MFIs in eight countries of Asia and Europe. Rahul has the experience of training more than 500 individuals in the microfinance sector. Cost of training Rs15,000 (US$300) per person, which includes * Professional fees for the training (including service tax) * Course-pack for the participants * Certificate of completion of training * Lunch and tea for three days Participants will have to make their own arrangements for travel and accommodation. M2i can, however, help participants in making arrangements for accommodation. Vishwa Yuvak Kendra (VYK) offers decent accommodation at reasonable rates. Accommodation at VYK will be available only when bookings are made well in advance. Scholarships A limited number of scholarships are available for deserving candidates from small, emerging MFIs and students. Scholarship up to a maximum of 50% of the course fee is available for the staff members from the MFIs having a loan portfolio of less than Rs100 million (US$2.0million).
