Hello there.

My extragear app will soon been release in a major version 4.1.0, and I
want to make a number of patch release 4.1.1, 4.1.2 etc with bug fixes but no
changes to translations.

At the same time I also want to continue development.

The question is, on which branch should I have my devel and on which branch
should I have my minor versions, so it works with translations?

The usual way is to keep trunk for new development, but if I do that,
translators will start translating that, and my translations will be broken
for the patch releases.

What I tried is to put the new devel on a branch of its own, but then the
script for making packages wont find that, and thus not help me make
snapshots.

Is there a common solution to this?

Thanks
Jesper.

There's branches/stable/extragear, which also has scripty
and thus translation support. It seems to pretty much be
only used by KTorrent at the moment, so make extra-sure
you inform translators by writing to i18n-doc and upda-
ting the extragear release schedule table on Techbase.

You got most of the info already but if you have some problems just ping us at
kde-i18n-doc@... or #kde-i18n in freenode.
