I have (2) YS240TBP's of which I hope to get one good running machine out of. I'm having trouble pulling the drive pinion gear to get at the governor. I tried modifying my standard 3 legged gear puller to no avail. I can't keep the legs from spreading and anything standard just will not grab the sloped underside of the pinion gear. Even if I could find Yamaha's P/N 90890-06136 Puller, chances are I couldn't afford it. Has anyone else had any luck modifying a puller for this purpose. If so I'd appreciate any specifics. thanks...
