I like Tomboy Notes.  I've been using it for a while, but have recently stopped in favor of Basket, because I can't keep Tomboy docked on my panel in Jaunty Ubuntu.  It just disapears.  Nothing else does this.  Any suggestions?

Hi Steve,

Sorry to hear you're having issues.  If you answer these questions,
maybe we can help:

1) How are you starting Tomboy?  Did add it to your panel as an applet
via the "Add to Panel" dialog, or did you start it from the menus?
2) What do you mean by "docked on my panel"?
3) How long after starting Tomboy does it quit?

You can help us figure out what's wrong by making sure in the GNOME
System Monitor that Tomboy is not running, then starting it from the
command line with `tomboy --debug`.  Presumably, Tomboy will crash,
and you can send us the output from the terminal, which should help us
to understand what is going wrong.

We made a lot of Ubuntu-specific fixes in Tomboy 0.14.2, so if you are
using an earlier 0.14.x version, your bug may be fixed in the latest
stable Tomboy.  We are working with the Ubuntu people to update the
version they ship [0].

Hope this helps,
Sandy

Hi Steve,

Can you run Tomboy from GNOME Terminal with the command `tomboy
--debug` and then, after it eventually disappears from your panel,
copy and paste the output from the terminal so we can see the error?
That will help us know exactly what's going on.  :-)

If you prefer to chat on IRC, you can join us in #tomboy on irc.gnome.org, too.

Thanks,
Sandy
