As reported at http://bugs.debian.org/603067:

> Up and down arrows send cursor to the first line in TTF instructions
> editor.
>
> To reproduce:
>
> 1. Open some instructed TTF font (or source) like DejaVuSans.
> 2. Open instructions editor ([Select glyph; Hints]->Edit Instructions, Edit)
> 3. Place cursor in the middle of the text and try to use up or down
> arrows.
>
> Expected result: cursor moves one line up or down.
>
> What happens instead: cursor moves to the beginning of the text.
