Hi,

Im using the latest svn version of Tellico with KDE4.3.2/Qt4.5.1

Just wander if Update Entry works as expected. When try to update an entry, can not see any process information (while there was a progress bar and information at satus bar with Tellico 1.x). Also the Save button doesn't become active.

So, is it really working or something has been changed ?

Lots have been changed, it's a whole port to KDE4/Qt4 after all. :) I'll
take a look.

I think it works now, if you want to give it a shot again.

Now, there's a progress bar and "Updating Foo Movie" info at status bar. But, it's just waiting,
never finishes the update process. Allways shows 0% progress..

Thanks, I did find another bug and just fixed it. Maybe we converge on
something. :) It does work for me now in updating with both one single
source and all at once. If there are still problems from your end, we'll
have to check full details (kde/qt version, type of collection, actual
source being used, etc.)

I appreciate your help.

Looks like it's working now, but im not sure if it's really doing an update, though the process
finishes successfully:)

i.e.: Settings > Data Sources > IMDB > Modify > Do not check IMDB Link or Rating. Search a movie and
add entry, save it. It has no IMDB link and rating. This is normal. But after: Settings > Data
Sources > IMDB > Modify > Check IMDB Link or Rating > Update the Entry we have added previously. It
hasn't any link or rating, again ? So, It doesn't look for recent Data Source settings when trying
to update an entry. You must remove it and add again to get new data after setting changes.

Thanks for the walk-through. I'll check it.

After investigating a little, I don't think this has ever worked. :) It's
not that the data source settings are being ignored. It's just when an entry
is updated, the only values that get updated are the fields that are in the
collection already.

I'll need to look at the program logic a bit more to figure out if I can fix
that.

On that note, the best workaround might be to just add a new entry after you
changed the IMDB source settings. That will add the rating and link fields
to the collection, then you can go back and update your other entry instead
of deleting it and re-downloading it.
