urgent question (variable selection )

Hello budies: I need some descriptions about the internal working methos of weka. I need some papers, books or article than describe two model to variable selection. The process than I need describe are: -InfoGain Attribute Selection, and -ChisquaredAttribute Selection. I hope somebody help me, I need describe in my thesis both methods and its algorithms. If anybody can send me some link, article, paper, book or any help, i thanks a lot with you. I read the manuals of weka, but the the description of the manuas is very short ando is not explicit. I'm workin in my MSc thesis, I'm workin search asociation rules, and I need these description too, wow! so, before run the asociaton rules, i run variable selection, with both methods. So, i hope anybody can help me, best regards Si bien en los manuales aparece, lo que ahi sale es demasiado poco para mi objetivo, yo estoy trabajando con minado de datos espacial, y antes de generar reglas de asociación (que dicho sea se paso tambien necesitaría la definicion y algoritmo usado por weka), hago una seleccion de variables con los métodos antes señalados. Por lo mismo, necesito describir el trabajo interno de weka. De antemao se agradece cualquier ayuda, link, paper, libro, pdf, cita, etc.... de verdad que es urgente y vital para mi subsistencia.... Decent texts on information theory and statistics along with a paper or two from Ross Quinlan or the data mining book by Witten and Frank should do the trick.
