Hi all:

One of the persons i helped install and setup Thunderbird for
email communication is facing the following issue:

When the individual clicks on a URL link in HTML mail, browser
does not startup.

Installed software are
 . Firefox 3.0.x
 . Thunderbird 2.0.0.21

How can do i help configure 'firefox' startup on click in
Thunderbird ?

Thanks in advance.

thanks
Saifi.

Saifi,
This might help:
http://daveg.outer-rim.org/entries/2004/04/07/setting-the-default-browser-in-thunderbird/

You have to add the following lines to the user.js
user_pref("network.protocol-handler.app.http", "/usr/bin/firefox");
user_pref("network.protocol-handler.app.https", "/usr/bin/firefox");
user_pref("network.protocol-handler.app.ftp", "/usr/bin/nautilus");

Wonder why Thunderbird never made it easy to configure that!
