usage scenariosAt the meeting in Minneapolis I agreed to start the discussion on usage scenarios that would help identify the requirement for experiment control and management in GENI. Given this broad scope, it is still not entirely clear what the exact goals are of these scenarios but I have attached a first attempt, with input from Steve Schwab and Jay Lepreau. Many thanks for taking the time to do this. I'd like to suggest adding a couple of post-mortem stages to explore some additional capabilities the facility will need to support. I have two threads in mind: first, the configuration, collection, validation, and publication of measured data and, second, the documentation, publication, and maintenance of experimental software for reuse. Both of these functions are important parts of how GENI can support research and identifying where standard tools and facility-supported services will be needed is important for gauging the work ahead.
