using google maps

I tried using google to understand how to use google maps with gpsdrive but I can't understand.
I have found :
http://gtm.tel.uva.es/ztep/maps/dmap.htm
but I need more help to use these maps

see the instructions on the wiki

http://gpsdrive.sf.net/wiki


but really you should use the OpenStreetMaps instead due to
license terms. You will want to build latest SVN from source
to get those working correctly. See Options->Maps->Download

The problem is that italian maps are bad, I can't see even the road
where I live !

when the data is not there, you could help adding it ;-)
