Should courier-imap deliver it > differently? Someone else showed the same kind of corrupted mail here, a few days ago, which had Barracuda firewall-inserted spamassassin headers in it. At that time, the most obvious answer was a bug in Barracuda's commercial product screwing up mail headers. Given that the other sample mail was also from hotmail, and you are not using either Barracuda, nor spamassassin, the most likely answer right now is a bug in Hotmail spitting out broken email. Hotmail is sending out corrupted mail, and the IMAP server is properly parsing it, as it was received.
