If I go to the address book (Web GUI) and select 'all' it shows me my personal address book contents and that of a group I have access to. It does not show me addresses from accounts, though I can see them on their own by selecting 'accounts'
I have set the address book preferences for me and for the default to 'Hide accounts from address book = no'
Any idea why I can not see the accounts when i select 'all'?
When I sync to egw I only get the addresses visible in 'all' ie personal and group so I need to find out how to include accounts as well
Thanks
If you store your accounts in LDAP, but contacts in SQL, that's the
expected behaviour, as we cant merge efficiently between SQL and LDAP.

Ah that would explain it!
I'm not too familiar with how to find out the structure of the LDAP data in order to find the right settings to use to access the accounts as an LDAP address book. Could you point me in the right direction on that.
I got part of the way a while back but now I can't seem to access the LDAP server at all from Kontact.
Many thanks

I seem to have got some access to ldap back again, no idea why it stopped I can see 'admin' 'ebox' and 'master' in the addressbook if I set DN to dc=domain_chosen_at_setup and user to cn=admin with the admin users password
I don't know what Bind DN or realm to set.
If I select sub tree query I can see all the account holders but also a lot of stuff I don't need - would picking an appropriate Bind DN and/or realm limit what I get to see?
How easy would it be to get egroupware to store all contacts in ldap? For laptop users this would be handy as Kontact can cache the addresses from ldap but not groupdav
Thanks
Peter

OK, call me an idiot, unless you are psychic you are not going to answer the details of DN etc - I thought I was on the eBox forum, well it is Friday (feeble excuse)
